韓国合同参謀本部「北朝鮮軍が南下し、MDLを侵入」…「警告射撃後、北上」
South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff: ”North Korean troops moved south and invaded the MDL”... ”After firing warning shots, they moved north”
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said, "More than 10 North Korean soldiers headed south on the 8th, crossed the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) and then headed north."
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, a North Korean attack occurred at around 5 p.m. on the eastern front in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).
More than 10 North Korean soldiers entered the MDL. The South Korean military immediately broadcast a warning and fired warning shots, and in response, the North Korean military advanced north across the MDL.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said, "We will closely monitor the movements of the North Korean military and proceed according to operational procedures.
"We are taking necessary measures to prevent further damage to the North Korean border," the statement said. Last June, a group of North Korean troops working within the DMZ on the central front also crossed the MDL southward and invaded the area, but the North was deterred by South Korea's warning broadcast and warning shots.
It is on the rise.
