China's manufacturing industry's first-quarter sales up 4.8% year-on-year: Chinese report

The State Administration of Taxation released the latest tax revenue data on the 9th. According to the data, China's manufacturing sales continued to grow in the first quarter (January-March). In addition, sales in the high-tech industry increased.
According to VAT invoice data, manufacturing sales in the same period increased by 4.8% year-on-year, accounting for 29.1% of national sales.
The growth rate was 0.8 percentage points higher than the previous year, driving the sustained growth of the economy. In particular, sales in the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.7% year-on-year, maintaining a relatively fast growth rate.
Sales in China's high-tech industry also grew by 13.4%, maintaining an upward trend. Sales in the digital product manufacturing industry and the digital technology application industry grew by 12% and 11.6%, respectively.
Along with China's development in the field of artificial intelligence, sales in the scientific research and technology services industry increased by 19.6 percent, while sales in the information technology services industry increased by 11.4 percent.
