Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht is set to make his first official public appearance since his release from prison.

Ross Ulbricht runs the dark web-based online marketplace Silk Road.
He was arrested in 2013 on charges of operating and founding the Silk Road and was sentenced to life in prison without parole in January this year under the presidency of Donald Trump.
Ulbricht was granted a full pardon by President Trump. His release comes as a result of the many promises he made to the cryptocurrency community during his presidential campaign.
It was one of several that Trump vowed to pardon the Silk Road founder on his first day in office if re-elected.
