Cracks appear in road in redevelopment area in Gwanak-gu, Seoul

A crack in the road caused by construction work occurred in the redevelopment area of Samseong-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul. According to fire authorities and the Gwanak-gu Office, the crack occurred at around 3:37 pm on the 14th in Gwanak-gu, Seoul.
Police and firefighters were called to the scene after a report was received that the ground appeared to have collapsed on a road in the redevelopment area of Samseong-dong, Gu-gu.
No human injuries were reported. A Gwanak-gu office official said, "We went to the location where the report was received, and found that it was not subsidence or a collapse, but cracks in the road pavement caused by excavation work at a construction site."
"The police have closed off the road and are managing the situation," he said. He added, "The business owner and the ward office are thoroughly investigating the situation at the scene again."
