Apgujeong, Turkey Station: Reports of ”Road collapses in various parts of Seoul”... Authorities are investigating (South Korea)

A road collapse occurred in the area around Apgujeong Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and authorities are working to repair the collapse.
There have also been reports of a road collapse in the area, and authorities are currently investigating. According to the Gangnam-gu Office on the 16th, a road collapse occurred around 4:40 pm that day near Apgujeong Station in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The fire department received a report that the road had collapsed. The accident occurred on a normal road, not a construction site, and it was confirmed that the ground had sunk by about 5 to 10 centimeters.
Excavation work was carried out in the area last winter, and it has been suggested that the road may have sunk due to insufficient compaction of the ground. Other causes, such as a broken sewer pipe, have not been ruled out and the cause analysis is ongoing.
A Gangnam-gu office official said, "A repair team has been dispatched to the site to check and carry out repairs. The road is currently closed."
On the same day, a road collapse was reported near Dolgoji Station in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. About 10 firefighters and six police officers responded to the report.
However, it was determined that the pavement had only sunk slightly and that there had not been a full-scale collapse, and the plan is to carry out partial repairs on that area.
Meanwhile, at around 8 p.m. the previous day, a 5-meter-diameter, 10-centimeter-deep hole was found at a crosswalk in front of Bupyeong Station in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
There have been concerns about road collapses nationwide, including land subsidence in the area. No human casualties were reported, but it is expected that it will take some time for the road to be reopened. Incheon City is building an underground passageway.
It is believed that the soil at the top of the building froze during the winter and melted as temperatures rose, causing some of the building to sink.
A large-scale collapse occurred in front of the Myeong Elementary School intersection, and on the 13th of this month, a road collapse measuring 5 meters wide, 3 meters long, and 4.5 meters deep occurred in Busan.
In front of Exit 2 of Eogye Station in Ahyeon-dong, Mapo-gu, a 40-centimeter-diameter, 1.3-meter-deep subsidence occurred.
