On the 17th, it was reported that the 14th Civil Agreement Division of the Seoul Central District Court (Head Judge Jeon Ha-jung) issued an order on the 2nd of this month to the Kim Soo Hyun side to amend the fees for the stamp fee and service charge.
According to the report, Kim Soo Hyun's side initially announced that it would file a lawsuit for damages of approximately 12 billion won, but the value of the lawsuit submitted to the court was 11 billion won.
In response, the court ordered that the value of the lawsuit be revised and that the stamp fee and service fee also be paid based on the 12 billion won.
In the case of Kim Soo Hyun, it is estimated that the stamp fee and service charge alone amounted to 38 million won.
However, Kim Soo Hyun's side submitted an application for an extension of the amendment deadline to the Trial Division on the 16th of this month.
In connection with this, some raised the prospect that the lawsuit might be dismissed.
However, attorney Kim Jong-bok, who represented the legal representative, stated that there is no basis in fact, and clarified that “the stamp fee and service fee have naturally been paid, and the application for an extension of the amendment deadline is for a normal address amendment.
