Actor Kim Soohyeon is being sued by numerous advertisers for damages totaling 7.3 billion won (approximately 730 million yen), and her legal representatives have made their position clear.
Kim Soohyeon's legal representative told a Korean media outlet on the 19th (today), "It is true that some advertisers have filed a lawsuit."
On the 18th, the media reported that Kim Soohyeon was being sued by a number of advertisers, including a Korean electric rice cooker manufacturer and a company specializing in health functional foods, for a total of approximately 7.3 billion won.
Regarding the amount of the lawsuit, which is known to be around 7.3 billion won, Kim Soohyeon's side took a modest stance, saying, "We have not confirmed the details, so it is difficult to disclose anything."
When asked about future responses, he replied, "The advertiser's claim for damages is a lawsuit based on false facts, so I don't think there is any room for it to be recognized legally or contractually."
He continued, "The fundamental responsibility began when the Carocello Laboratory (Kase Laboratory) fabricated evidence and spread false facts," and "As the investigation progressed, the Kase Laboratory side began to lie.
"Once it becomes clear that this was the case, I believe the lawsuit for damages will naturally be resolved."
