If improvements to the system are necessary, the government plans to work with each working group of the Pan-Government Domestic Response Task Force to address the issue.
The two sides agreed that there is still uncertainty regarding the rate and timing of tariffs on South Korea's products. Regarding the impact of the U.S. tariffs on South Korea's exports in general and on major industries such as steel, automobiles, and semiconductors,
The TF will review and discuss the matter, and will update its analysis of the impact of future tariff policy changes as necessary. The Korean government will coordinate the results of the TF discussions with ministerial-level meetings, including the newly established Ministers' Meeting on Economic and Security Policy.
The aim is to have Japan step up its efforts to respond quickly to the tariff war.
