The hit Korean TV series "Yumi's Cells" has finally been made into a movie. "Yumi's Cells: The Movie" (original title: YUMI'S CELLS: THE MOVIE)
The film will be released in Japan for one week only from Friday, July 11th at Ikebukuro Humax Cinemas, Shinjuku Musashinokan and other theaters.
In the brain of Yumi, an ordinary office worker, countless cells for reason, emotion, love, anxiety, hunger, etc. are constantly racing.
They work closely together to direct Yumi's thoughts and actions. Their only wish is for Yumi to be happy. Will Yumi be able to achieve her "dream" and "happiness" with the help of the cells?
The original is a hugely popular webtoon with 3.5 billion views in Korea. In 2021, it was made into a TV series starring Kim GoEun (Goblin: The Lonely and Great God), and is directed by Itaewon Class.
Ahn Bo Hyun's romance with GOT7's Park Jin Young also attracted a lot of attention. The emotions of the main character Yumi are depicted in 3D animation as unique "cells in the heart."
The story's setting and the fresh visual expression that combines live action have also made it a hot topic. The realistic portrayal of Yumi's psychology as she faces ordinary everyday emotions and romantic problems is linked to the universal worries of women living in the modern world.

The teaser and poster visuals have been released! In the teaser that has just been released, the main character Yumi retires from her job and restarts her life in order to take the first step towards her long-held dream of becoming a writer.
The story begins with a scene where the cells are rejoicing that her relationship with her boyfriend Bobby and her work as a writer are progressing smoothly, while the cells are growing increasingly worried, saying, "Something is bound to happen at times like this."
Furthermore, due to a conflict with the "love cells" that drive Yumi, the village in Yumi's heart where the cells live is engulfed in flames and is in danger of being destroyed...
Can the cells overcome this dire situation to return them to their former selves? And expectations are high for the rampage of the even more powerful and hungry "hungry cells" as they rampage through the village.
