"Soju War" is a drama about Jeongrok (played by Yoo Haejin), a financial director at National Bo Soju Company, whose company is his life, and a man who pursues only profits.
The story is about a global investor named Inbeom (played by Lee Je Hoon) who is in conflict over the fate of Korea's national liquor "soju".
Choi Yeonjun has demonstrated her outstanding acting in the Netflix original "Keijo Creatures" and other dramas.
In "Shochu Wars," he plays a lawyer who is in charge of crisis management for the national treasure shochu, and is able to calmly assess the situation without being swayed by personal feelings, and come up with a clear solution at the right time.
He will play the role of Yongmo. In the released Stills, he shows a cool and smart side of himself, different from the characters he has played so far, raising expectations for his new charms.
"I prepared for the character thinking that I was the only one who had to understand Gu Young-mo and justify what he did," said Ji.
Yeonjun made a strong screen debut teasing the portrayal of the character with his solid acting skills. Co-star Lee Je Hoon also commented, "I'm glad that no one can portray the character of Goo Yeonmo so realistically.
"Is there anyone else who can act like Choi Yeonjun? He showed such a great performance that I can't think of anyone other than him," he said. "Soju War" will be released in Korean cinemas on June 3rd.
