South Korean ruling party candidate tells other candidates to ”impeach the former president and apologize to the people”... ”That's the way to win”

On the 23rd, Ahn Cheol-soo, who made it to the final four in the first round of the primary election (cutoff) for the next presidential election by the ruling People Power Party of South Korea, called the other three candidates "Yoon Seo-gyul (

Candidate Ahn said, "Before the (second) primary election, the four of us made a promise to the people.
Let us practice this responsibly to the end," he said, emphasizing, "That is the way we should live, and that is the way that will enable us to live."
Ahn also said, "The impeachment of former President Yoon is a painful historical moment for the entire conservative movement."
"Any responsible politician should face up to their past mistakes and not ignore them," he wrote. "We should not be completely exonerated from responsibility for the impeachment of former President Yoon.
"We cannot be free. We must offer an honest and sincere apology to the people," he said, adding, "Only by crossing the river of impeachment can the path of the people and the path to victory be opened up."
