"He is the only prime minister in the Yoon Seok-yeol administration," he said, adding, "He cannot be free from failure in national affairs, martial law and impeachment. Han's candidacy goes against the common sense and wishes of the people."
He also said, "If he runs without any justification or decision, he will not be able to gain the support of the people," and "Some political forces within the party are running only for their own interests.
"We are encouraging Acting President Han to run for office, but we hope that he will perform his public duties with dignity to the very end," he said.
He continued, "I am well aware of Acting President Han's ability and virtue," and "However,
"There is no justification or practical benefit to running. This would be the same as former President Yoon running again, and there is no way he could defeat former Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung," he added.
