Acting President Han Deok-soo meets with Constitutional Government Association Chairman Jeong Dae-cheol to discuss running for president (South Korea)

It has been reported that Acting President and Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, who has been rumored to be a candidate for the presidential election, will soon meet with Chairman of the Constitutional Association of the Republic of Korea Jeong Dae-cheol.
On the 25th, Chairman Chung was quoted as saying, "This morning, I received a message from Deputy Director Han saying, 'Let's meet.' No date has been decided yet, but I will probably meet with Deputy Director Han this weekend or early next week."
Chairman Chung said, "Until now, I have been the one to call and say, 'Let's meet,' but this is the first time that Deputy Han has said, 'Let's meet.'"
Han was a junior of Chairman Chung at Gyeonggi High School and Seoul University, and the two have reportedly met frequently in the past.
If Acting President Han runs for president, he will take into consideration the Public Offices Election Act and the political and economic environment.
It is expected that he will make the announcement next week, and that he will meet with Chairman Chung, a former political veteran, to discuss future actions before making a final decision.
Han is said to have recently told people close to him that he cannot avoid the calls for him to run for office that are coming from both inside and outside the political world.
