It was discovered that A, a first-year junior high school student, had eaten chocolate distributed for the purpose of promoting the church. After that, he began to suffer from symptoms such as stomach pain.
He complained about the allergy and was treated at a nearby hospital. In response to this, the police plan to ask the National Forensic Service to test the ingredients of the chocolate that Mr. A had left uneaten.
Police are also investigating the identity of the person who gave Mr. A the chocolates by looking at CCTV footage from the area.
Prior to this, a similar incident occurred near an elementary school in Nonhyun-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon in December last year.
Seven elementary school students complained of nausea, dizziness, and other symptoms after eating chocolates distributed by a woman in her 40s. The school's health teacher said seven students had reported similar symptoms at the same time.
According to the Nonhyun Police Station in Incheon, the woman who was distributing the chocolates to the children was reported to the police.
