"I want you to apologize to the people," he said, urging the government to unite the public and move forward toward victory in the presidential election.
On the 4th, Rep. Ahn sent a message to candidate Kim through Facebook saying, "Regarding martial law and impeachment,
I want them to apologize to the people." Along with her greetings from the Celebration, Rep. Ahn wrote, "To prevent the Lee Jae-myung era (of the Democratic Party of Korea), we must cross the 'river of martial law and impeachment' together.
He added, "The emergency martial law has left deep scars on the people that cannot be washed away. A responsible politician who served as a State Councilor should apologize in front of the people."
Ahn emphasized, "That is the first justification for blocking Lee Jae-myung." He also made constitutional reform a must-have campaign issue. Ahn said, "If I am elected president, I will shorten the term of office to three years and hold local elections next year and then revise the constitution."
"I ask that you join me in pushing for a constitutional referendum," he said. "Constitutional reform is a task of the times that the next president must accomplish. Putting off constitutional reform any longer would be a sin before history.
He urged former President Yoon to decide to leave the party. Rep. Ahn said, "Lee Jae-myung's goal is to hold this election between Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Jae-myung. I want to reduce the political burden on candidate Kim Moon-soo.
"I want the president to create a justification to defeat Lee Jae-myung, who is a criminal suspect," he said. Rep. Ahn said, "The president's departure from the party will prevent Lee Jae-myung from taking power and will be a bridge to normalize the liberal democracy of the Republic of Korea.
"Let's do it," he emphasized.
