Actor Lee David shared his thoughts on joining the "Squid Game" series. Lee David will be taking on the new role of Min-soo in season 2 of Netflix's "Squid Game."
Above all, viewers around the world are looking forward to his performance in Season 3. He previously worked with director Hwang Dong-hyuk on the film "Castle of the Heavenly Father."
During a recent interview with Herald POP at a cafe in Seogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, he revealed that he was a cast member in the "Squid Game" series.
He recalled the time when he was invited to the military. He said, "I was in the military at the time, and thankfully, Director Hwang called me again. If I go to the military late, I will worry about how I will live after being discharged.
"There were a lot of questions, but I was happy to hear the news of the casting," he said. "The work was popular overseas, so I was more than happy; I felt very good," he added.
However, he said, "When I'm shooting a film, if something comes up, I try to suppress it myself. I was happy when I heard the news of the casting, but I wonder if I was influenced by something else.
"I tried to stay very calm after that so that I wouldn't get embarrassed," she confessed. "Thanks to the 'Squid Game', my number of followers increased a little," she said with a shy laugh.
The film "Holy Night: Demon Hunters", in which he returns to the big screen as Kim, is currently receiving rave reviews in Korea.
