韓国民の過半数「世の中は公正じゃない」…長期的な「鬱憤」状態=韓国
Majority of South Koreans say ”The world is not fair”...Long-term state of ”resentment” = South Korea
A survey result was released stating that "more than half of the Korean people are in a long-term state of resentment."
The Education and Research Group for Integrated Health Disaster Response is a public opinion survey company called KEI Statistical Research.
On the 7th, the results of a "Survey on Promoting Mental Health," conducted from the 15th to the 21st of last month through "Search," targeting 1,500 adult men and women aged 18 and over, were made public.
The survey found that 48.1% of respondents to a question about the general mental health level of society's members answered "not good."
Next came "normal" at 40.5% and "good" at 11.4%. When the researchers measured the main appraisals and emotional states, they found that 12.8% of the respondents had "high levels of serious resentment."
Including these, 54.9% were in a "long-term state of resentment" where the pain of resentment continues. In addition, the number of people who answered "disagree" to the statement "I think the world is basically fair" was 100%.
The answer was 69.5%. However, when asked about themselves, 58.0% answered, "I am generally treated fairly."
Professor Yoo Myung-seong, who oversaw the survey, said, "The relationship between resentment and fairness is a major factor in the safety of society.
"Maintaining high stability and strong (social) trust is the path to individual and collective mental health."
