People Power launches polls with the goal of unifying candidate Kim Moon-soo and reserve candidate Han Deok-soo (South Korea)
On the 8th, the People Power Party (ruling party) began a candidate preference survey with the aim of unifying presidential candidate Kim Moon-soo and independent Han Deok-soo as its primary candidate.
The two surveys will run until 10 pm on the same day, before resuming at 10 am on the 9th. The party member vote will close at 4 pm on the 9th, and the national opinion poll will close at 1 pm.
The People's Power Party plans to calculate candidate preference ratings by reflecting the results of party member voting and the public opinion polls at 50% each, and depending on the results, it may decide to pressure Kim Moon-soo to unify the party.
The government also plans to adjust the water level. At a meeting of the emergency response committee held at the National Assembly on the same day, Kwon Yeong-sei, chairman of the People's Power Emergency Response Committee, said, "The party-led unification process will begin today.
"We have proposed a television debate and a public opinion poll for both sides, and even if the debate is not successful, we plan to hold the public opinion poll as scheduled."
