Chairman Lee Jae-yong donates 1 billion won for the fourth consecutive year

Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-Yeong (005930) donated 1 billion won (about 100 million yen) to the Hoam Foundation last year.
According to the financial world on the 9th, the Hoam Foundation recently released its 2024 financial statements, donation collection and expenditure details, donors, etc.
Of the Hoam Foundation's total donations of 6 billion won last year, 1 billion won was donated by Lee Jae-yong, making him the only individual to have received such a donation.
Prior to this, Chairman Lee Jae-yong donated 400 million won (about 350,000 yen) to the Hoam Foundation in his personal capacity in 2021, and will donate 200 million won each in 2022 and 2023.
The Hoam Foundation was established in 1997 by Samsung Group founder Hoam Lee Byung-chol, who is also the founder of the Samsung Group.
It is a public interest corporation established with the aim of carrying on the entrepreneurial spirit of the founding chairman, and is involved in the administration of the Hoam Prize and academic and research support.
