Yoon Sang-in, a member of the People Power Party, criticizes the change in the People Power Party's presidential candidate: ”We must create a place for a final compromise” (South Korea)
Yoon Sang Hyun, a member of the ruling People Power Party, said on the 10th that the party leadership will disqualify candidate Kim Moon-soo and register Han Deok-soo as a presidential candidate.
In response to the unprecedented, unprecedented change in presidential candidate, he suggested that "a space must be created for the candidates to make a final major compromise."
On the same day, Rep. Yoon wrote on Facebook, "The forced replacement of candidate Kim Moon-soo is both practical and moving.
"Attempts to replace a legitimate presidential candidate who was duly selected through a fair primary election process with unconvincing justification will be a disgrace to the public and the party," Rep. Yoon wrote.
"It also seems unfair to the members," he said. "From the perspective of candidate Kim Moon-soo, the promise to unify the party is not completely wrong.
With only one final hurdle remaining in the negotiations, why can't they wait before we get past that final hurdle?"
"We want a leadership that is tolerant and persuasive," Rep. Kim Moon-soo said.
"A unilateral change to the vice president has no justification or practical benefit and could even be a harmful move that weakens the candidate's competitiveness. It could only deepen the divide and erode the public's trust," he added.
He called on the party leadership to "think carefully once more. What is needed now is not an end to the conflict, but a pause in dialogue. I want our leadership to show inspiring politics that is in line with the people's perspective."
We hope that this will be the case."
