Korean YouTuber drinks breast milk from a Filipina woman for 10,000 won and says it's good for his health
A Korean YouTuber has caused controversy with content appearing to buy and drink breast milk from a Filipina woman.
On the 9th, the Korean broadcasting station JTBC's "Case Leader" aired footage of a man buying breast milk from a local woman and drinking it himself.
According to the informant, YouTuber A introduced himself as a "BJ (broadcaster) with 8 years of experience" and was from the Philippines.
She creates a variety of content, including about her life in Korea, food reviews, and travel. Among them, a video in which she buys breast milk and drinks it directly has been criticized by local Koreans.
In the video released, Mr. A is seen approaching the mothers of babies and offering them breast milk, saying, "I'll pay you," and then drinking it directly on the spot.
After asking how old the child was, he commented that it was fresh and delicious, and handed over 500 pesos (about 1,200 yen). In some videos, the man even handed the money directly to the child in his mother's arms.
In addition to the video in question, A's YouTube channel also contains mukbang (eating show) videos featuring young girls.
The videos include content of him drinking with local women. The local Korean community has criticized him online after seeing these videos.
Through the tea channel, there have been a series of criticisms such as, "Apparently, some viewers have watched the broadcast and traveled to the Philippines to experience it for themselves," and "That's shameless."
The informant also said, "In the Philippines, where the gap between the rich and the poor is huge, it is common for people to be lured in for tens of thousands of won (several thousand yen) and given sexual favours.
"There are many YouTubers who create content with nuances or approach people for the purpose of prostitution," he said, adding, "It seems that this YouTuber is also creating content with a dangerous mindset, which is a cause for concern."
In response, Mr. A told the "case team leader" that "the mothers of babies cannot work and sometimes do not have money to buy powdered milk," and that he "went out of their consent to film the content because I would help them."
The local people are very happy. They are like Santa Claus or the "Long Legged Man." In response to the suspicions that some people have raised about his sexual purpose, he said, "His body is
"She's just weak and breastfeeding," he said, adding, "It's a cultural difference, so there's no problem." However, the reporter said, "We have regulations against this kind of content to avoid damaging the image of Koreans.
Experts were also astonished at A's claim that she was a "long-legged uncle." Kim Eun-bae, head of the international crime investigation team at the Seoul National Police Agency, said, "She's not a mother.
"Putting money into the hands of children without any assistance doesn't seem like simple support," he said, pointing out, "Some people have apparently seen the program and are now going to the Philippines to experience it. They should stop making this a disgrace."
