Samsung unveils OLED monitor for gaming, including world firsts (Korea)

Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the Odyssey OLED, an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 500 Hz.
According to the company, it has released a gaming monitor with similar specifications.
The monitor is said to be the world's first. The response speed is 0.03 milliseconds. It realizes smooth images even in high-performance games with fast movements. It is 27 inches in size and equipped with a QD-OLED panel with a wide viewing angle.
The display has a maximum resolution of 1000 nits, QHD resolution, and HDR10+ high dynamic range. It uses glare-free technology to reduce light reflections while providing a clear screen.
It also comes equipped with the "OLED Safeguard+" function to prevent burn-in that leaves color on the screen. It is the first gaming monitor to be "Pantone Certified" and "Pantone Pantone Certified" for accurate color reproduction.
It has also been given the "Skin Tone Certification" for its height, vertical angle, left and right adjustments, making it easier to use.
According to US research firm IDC, Samsung Electronics is the largest OLED display maker in the global market.
