Presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung: ”We will concentrate our national strength to host the Olympics” in Jeonju

On the 16th, Lee Jae-myung, presidential candidate of the Democratic Party of Korea, visited Jeonju and announced that he would hold a national summit in North Jeolla Province to bid for the 2036 Summer Olympics.
"If Korea is chosen to host the (2036 Summer) Olympics, I will support Korea," he said in a speech given at the back gate of Jeonbuk University in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, on the afternoon of the same day.
"The Olympics will be held in North Jeolla Province, with the focus on the province," he said, emphasizing, "We must concentrate our national strength in order to attract the Olympics."
"We must do our best in whatever we do and leave the outcome to heaven, but I believe that if we work hard, it is possible to host the Olympics," he said.
