DigiAsia Corp. said, "The board of directors has approved the introduction of Bitcoin as a reserve asset for the company, and will allocate up to 50% of future net profits to Bitcoin."
DigiAsia added that it is also actively considering raising capital of up to $100 million to fund initial bitcoin purchases.
We are also discussing strategies to generate revenue by using the Bitcoin as collateral for loans and staking, and are currently conducting Bitcoin operations with partners approved by regulatory agencies.
DigiAsia is also considering raising funds through convertible bonds and cryptocurrency-based financial instruments, the company said.
After DigiAsia announced its Bitcoin plan, its stock price on the 19th surged 91% from the previous day to close at $0.36.
At the close, it again fell 22% to $0.28. DigiAsia shares have fallen nearly 53% since the beginning of the year, having hit a peak of $11.90 in March 2024.
