パク・ボゴム&キム・ソヒョンら、「グッドボーイ」に対する思いを伝えた…「新たなスタートであり挑戦」
Park BoGum and Kim Seohyun share their thoughts on ”Good Boy”... ”A new start and a challenge”
The five members of the JTBC TV series "Good Boy," Park BoGum, Kim Seohyun, Lee Sang Yi, Heo Seong Tae, and Tae Won Seok, personally explained the meaning of "good boy."
JTBC's new Saturday and Sunday TV series "Good Boy" is about former national team athletes who have become police officers through special recruitment, wearing police ID cards around their necks instead of medals, and living in a world where unscrupulousness and foul play are rampant.
Park Bo-Gum, who plays Yoon Dong-Ju, a police officer and former member of the gold medallist in boxing, said that "Good Boy" is "a new start and a challenge."
"It was his first time taking on a full-scale action movie, and he put all his energy into each action scene, becoming one with the characters.
Looking back on the filming with the other actors, he said, "It was so much fun that I didn't even notice the time passing," and added, "I was truly happy to meet the good people in 'Good Boy.' Thank you to everyone."
For Kim Seohyun, who plays Ji Hanna, a gold medalist in shooting, "Good Boy" is a story about "overcoming fear little by little and taking one step at a time."
"It was a work that made me brave." She repeatedly trained and corrected her posture to face the challenge of the unfamiliar field of gun action.
Although I had always wanted to be a actress, I felt a great sense of fear when I was actually faced with it, but through this work I was able to overcome those feelings little by little.
"It was a time when I was able to become stronger," Lee Sang Yi said. "Good Boy is a work where I didn't have to worry," he said. "As soon as I read the script, I thought, 'I have to do this.'
"I thought, 'I'm not good at this.'" He played the role of Kim Jong Hyun, a former member of the national fencing team, and learned fencing for the first time in his life.
He defined this drama as "a new look and a new expectation," and said, "I think I'll be able to see the real Lee Sang Yi, so I'm looking forward to the broadcast."
Heo Seong Tae said, "Good Boy is the drama I appeared in during the most difficult time of my life, and it was the one that gave me the most strength."
Taking on the role of Go Man-sik and showing his rough yet human leadership, he said, "It's no exaggeration to say that I put all my action and comic acting skills into this role."
Tae Won Seok said, "I'm proud to have starred in the drama." He plays the role of Shin Jae Hong, a former member who won a bronze medal in the discus throw.
He was deeply drawn to the worldview created by writer Lee Dae-il, the directing skills of director Shim Nayeon, and the character Shin Jae-hong.
"Good Boy" will begin airing on JTBC in Korea on Saturday, May 31 at 10:40 pm.
