MINO (WINNER) sent to prosecutors for alleged neglect of social service officer duties

MINO (32/real name: Song Mino) of the group WINNER was referred to the public prosecutor's office for suspected negligence in service.

On the 23rd, the Seoul Mapo Police Department announced that MINO, who is suspected of violating the Military Service Act, was sent to the prosecutor's office on the 22nd.

MINO is suspected of neglecting his duties as a social service member at a facility in Mapo-gu, where he failed to show up for work and was excluded from his main duties, according to testimonies.

The police received a request for investigation from the Military Service Agency and filed a case against MINO on suspicion of violating the Military Service Act.

His agency, YG Entertainment, explained that the reason for his sick leave was an extension of the medical treatment he had received prior to his service, and that all other leave and other leave was used in accordance with regulations, but the police raided MINO's place of work and secured and examined security camera footage and other evidence from his place of work.

MINO has generally admitted to leaving his work place during working hours, according to the police.

Meanwhile, WINNER is scheduled to hold its first concert in about three years and three months in July. Three members, Kang Seung Yoon, Kim Jin Woo, and Lee Seung Hoon, excluding MINO, are scheduled to take the stage for this concert.
