Kyuhyun's agency Antenna announced today that "Recently, we have confirmed a number of acts that go beyond freedom of expression and defame the artist's character" targeting Kyuhyun.
The agency added, "We are concerned about the psychological damage not only to the artist but also to his fans due to malicious postings such as incitement to obstruct activities, spreading of false facts, abusive language, and sexual harassment.”
“In response to this, our company is preparing to take strong legal action based on the information we have gathered through information provision and monitoring," the agency said.
“In addition, we will continue to take legal action against any defamation of our artists that may occur in the future," they emphasized.
Earlier, Kyuhyun recently appeared in the Netflix variety "The Devil's Plot: Devil's Plan" Season 2.
He played a game in a team with Jung Hyun-kyu and Yoon So-hee, and some viewers expressed their dissatisfaction with his unique playing style.
Kyuhyun then posted on a fan communication platform, "You can't put everything in the broadcast. I'm disappointed too, but it can't be helped," and consoled, "I'll tell you all the details later, so don't be very disappointed.”
He then asked the audience to "look at me warmly, as the performers are very close and have a good relationship with each other, very understanding of each other.”
Nevertheless, the malicious posts continued, and eventually the agency is believed to have taken legal action.
