The second behind-the-scenes video for the film ”Escape” focusing on Lee Je Hoon has been released! Gifts to be given to moviegoers for two consecutive weeks
If you stop, you die instantly! A series of desperate decisions!! The movie "Escape" will be released on June 20th (Friday) at Shinjuku Piccadilly and other theaters nationwide.
The role of Gyu-nam, a soldier who attempts a life-threatening escape from North Korea, will be played by actor Kim Jong Un, who has appeared in "Signal" and "Revenge Agent: Model Taxi".
The role of Hyeon Sang, the army major who relentlessly pursues the protagonist, is played by Koo Kyo Hwan from "DP - Deserter Pursuer", and he perfectly expresses the conflict of an elite soldier.
In addition, Hong XaBin from "In This Bad World" and Song Kang, whose popularity is on the rise with "Navirella", will have a decisive influence on Hyun Sang's life.
He plays a key role. The director of this film is Lee Jung-pil, who directed the 2020 Korean hit "Samjin Company 1995".
In addition, the song "Yanghwa Bridge" by Zion.T, who collaborates with artists such as Gen Hoshino and SIRUP, adds color as an insert song, making the movie nonstop from the beginning to the end.
The film received praise from audiences in Korea for its sense of tension. The story focuses on the North Korean troops guarding the military demarcation line. Sergeant Gyu-nam (Lee Je-hoo) is about to finish his military service.
In search of freedom, he plans to escape to South Korea. However, when he finally tries to carry out his escape, he is beaten to it by his subordinate, a low-ranking soldier named Dong-hyuk (Hong Xa Bin).
Gyu-nam tries to stop him, but unfortunately, he is found by the guards and the two are arrested together. However, under the direction of Hyeon-sang (Koo Kyo Hwan), a major in the security department and Gyu-nam's childhood friend,
He is celebrated as a hero for capturing Donghyuk by the police, and Gyun-am is transferred from the front line to Pyongyang. He has no freedom, no dreams, and no way to escape from the fate that was decided by others.
Gyu-nam, disgusted with his life of being unable to escape, decides to run again. He sneaks past Hyeon-sang and once again attempts a desperate escape towards the Military Demarcation Line, but encounters unexpected difficulties.
The time limit for the escape is only two days. Will Gyu-nam be able to survive?
The second behind-the-scenes video of the movie "Escape" has arrived! The second behind-the-scenes video is titled "Plan#3. Escape RUN!" and includes the lead actor Lee Ji-hyun.
The video focuses on Lee Je Hoon. The subtitle "North Korean soldier 'Gyu-nam' Lee Je Hoon tries to escape" is also shown in the video. Lee Je Hoon himself talks about the role he played.
"The story is about a sergeant on the front lines of North Korea who is about to be discharged after 10 years. He risks his life to escape to a place where he can do what he wants," he explains, explaining the origin of the movie's title, "Escape."
He continued, "I thought about how to portray Gyu-nam's life. I thought it was a scene that would show his shrinking appearance..." and a scene where Gyu-nam is tortured by the military was shown.
The video shows Lee Je Hoon, half naked and well trained, having cold water poured over his wounds, shouting, "It was worth it!"
It is clear at a glance that Lee Je Hoon is putting his all into his acting, trying to embody his struggle. In the next part, "Run for Tomorrow," we will be following Lee Je Hoon behind the scenes.
The video shows Lee Je Hoon rushing into the mud without hesitation, and even diving into the muddy water. The video shows Lee Je Hoon's back as he mutters, "I can't stand it," and it's tougher than you can imagine.
It is clear that he was challenging a difficult scene. As he recalls his thoughts of "If I don't push my limits, I'll be caught here. The audience will lose interest," he once again challenges himself in a difficult scene.
However, Lee Je Hoon's good personality can be felt when he says, "Let's do it again. I know you're hungry, but let's do it one more time," lightening the mood on set and trying to create a better scene.
Finally, to Lee Je Hoon, who played the role with such determination that he commented, "I filmed this as if it were my last work," director Lee Jung Pil also said, "It was a very varied role.
The video ends with a tribute to the versatile actor, saying, "The character has been played to perfection by this versatile actor." The video is made up of four making-of videos, with the third one scheduled to be released next week!
The film will be released nationwide from June 20th (Friday) at Shinjuku Piccadilly and other theaters. To commemorate the release, a gift will be given to moviegoers for two consecutive weeks.
