The new tvN Saturday drama 'Law and the City' (script by Lee Seung-hyun/directed by Park Seung-woo), which is set to premiere on July 5, depicts the joyous, sorrowful, and happy growing up of a group of five partner lawyers (lawyers who are employed by a legal firm and receive monthly salaries) who go to work in Seocho-dong legal town everyday.
In the play, Cho Chang-won (Kang Yoo-seok) is a socialite who has a right to be a part of the Seocho-dong legal town's Hyunmin Building, and is a chatterbox who has no place to go without showing his face here and there. He is light on his footwork and sociable, and goes to work as if he were going out to play, and is in charge of the five “Avengers Lawyers” energizers.
He is a super positive minded person who takes it all in stride and thinks easily, but over the course of his work life, the invisible damage is slowly accumulating. Faced with the prospect of falling into remorse as a lawyer because he did not become a lawyer to maintain his livelihood or for justice, Cho Chang-won gradually begins to have doubts in his mind.
The released photos include the busy daily life of Cho Chang-won, a nosy man in the 'Seocho-dong' legal town. He attends court, finishes his trial, and relieves the stress of the day over lunch, but at a certain moment, questions about his profession and suitability for the job arise. The question of whether Cho Chang-won will be able to resolve the doubts that have grown deep in his heart is a topic of much interest.
Actor Kang Yuseok's transformation is also attracting attention. Kang Yoo-seok, who has played a variety of characters from a first-year resident idol to a wandering young man, is expected to win the hearts of viewers through his character Cho Chang-won, who represents the feelings of working people who are going through a period of fatigue in their work life.
Meanwhile, tvN's new Saturday night drama 'Law and the City' will premiere on Saturday, July 5th at 9:20 p.m.
