Kakao to build cloud-based smart city system for local governments in South Korea

Kakao Enterprise has built a "Smart City Data Hub Platform" in North Jeolla Province, which is operated using Kakao Cloud.
The platform will systematically collect and manage various data generated in cities, and support data-based urban operations and service provision.
It was developed through joint research by the Ministry of Communication and the Ministry of Science, ICT and Technology, and they will begin building an actual platform for local governments from 2022.
