The music will be released on June 9, 2025 in the JPOP genre on Rakuten Ichiba and will be held at the Tokyo FC LIVE on Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Choi Junsung will be holding his first solo live event in Japan in Tokyo. Choi Junsung is a former member of the audition program "Produce X101" that aired in 2019.
He has a background in music and is currently a member of "GHOST9" and is active in both vocals and dancing. Recently, a cover video of a Japanese song that he posted on his personal SNS has been viewed nearly 15 million times.
Her other posts have also been viewed highly and are attracting a lot of attention. Her solid singing voice and performances have captivated fans both in Japan and overseas, and this solo event will allow fans to experience her talent up close.
This will be a great opportunity for him to perform on stage as "Jun S", something a little different from his group activities. As he is about to take his first steps, we interviewed him about his enthusiasm as a solo artist and his commitment to his work.
Q1. How did you feel when you found out you were going to hold a solo fan meeting? Please tell us your honest thoughts.
Through the Fan Meeting, I want to share my various experiences with my fans and listeners.
I am truly honored and happy to have been given the opportunity to show my face. There were many preparations to make and some hectic moments, but I am glad that the preparations were worthwhile and enjoyable.
Q2. Is there anything you would like people to pay attention to at this Fan Meeting?
I think it's the sound of my first solo single, "Melty Love."
Since it was my first solo song, I gave my full input into the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, and did my best to create a good sound.
I hope you'll pay attention to how I put my feelings into not only the lyrics, but also the arrangement and sound. Q3.
What are some of the differences you feel between solo activities and group activities?
What do you think? I think the biggest factor is whether or not there are other members. I was supported a lot by having other members around me who I could work hard with during group activities and take breaks with.
But when I perform a solo song like "Melty Love," I have to be careful because I have to do the whole thing by myself, but I enjoy it all the same.
I am always thinking about how I can present a more attractive and diverse side of myself, so that everyone can have higher expectations. Q4. You are very good at Japanese, but how do you usually study?
Do you have any travel stories where you felt glad that you could speak Japanese? I've slowed down a bit recently, but I've been working harder than ever in my life.
I think the thing that helped me the most was Japanese. I think I was able to improve so quickly because I had a strong foundation in the basics when I first started. Also, my teacher made sure that I didn't lose interest even when I had trouble.
I like Japanese culture and often travel to Japan, but because I can speak Japanese, I don't have any problems or inconveniences during my trips.
Q5. You have released your own songs on social media and SoundCloud, but when do you get the inspiration to write songs? Also, how long does it take to create a song?
Or are you the type that finishes things quickly? It depends a little on the song. Some songs I spend a lot of time and effort on, but many come to me relatively quickly.
I'm still in the early stages of releasing my own songs, so I feel like I have a lot to learn. I think it's better to work with an empty mind and heart to find inspiration that satisfies me.
Q6. You often update your TikTok videos, but do you edit them yourself? What were some of the challenges you faced when editing, and what do you do to improve them?
Yes, I edit them myself. I still do simple edits, so I enjoy it and think I can do it on my own, so I'm continuing.
There's nothing particularly difficult about it at the moment, but I'd like to try making higher quality videos and more difficult edits in the future.
Q7. Please give a message to the fans waiting for you in Japan to encourage them to persevere until we meet again. Jun
I am truly encouraged by having you with me as I take my first steps into Japan as an S.
I may still be an immature artist in some people's eyes, but I want to know that fact.
I don't intend to deny it. I believe that only when Jun S is at 50% complete can he progress to 100%, so I will treasure every moment and experience of his growth.
I feel that way. I will work hard to become an even better artist someday, so I would be happy if you would support me.
This first solo live event in Japan will be a rare opportunity to experience S's "now" directly. Please come and experience his performance at the venue.
