South Korean government issues special travel warning: ”Travel to Israel and Iran should be suspended”

The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (equivalent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan) has announced that it will launch a joint military exercise against some areas of Israel and Iran due to the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Middle East region following Israel's air strikes on Iran and Iran's retaliatory attacks.
On the 13th, they announced that they would issue a special travel warning (level 2.5). With this measure, which will be applied from the 14th, the areas where the previous level 2 (travel restriction) travel warning was issued in both countries will be subject to a special travel warning.
The special travel warning is equivalent to a travel warning level of 2.5, which is equivalent to a travel warning level of 2 or higher and level 3 (departure recommendation) or lower. It is issued when there is an urgent risk in the short term, and the travel warning is issued from the day of issue.
The travel warnings for parts of Israel (level 3 and level 4, travel ban) and Iran (level 3 travel warning) will remain in place.
The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "We ask our citizens to cancel or postpone travel to Israel and Iran, and ask South Korean nationals who are in those countries to move to a safe area unless they have urgent business."
The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that it will continue to closely monitor the situation in Israel and Iran and will continue to consider the need for additional adjustments to travel warnings.
