北、ロシアとの「包括的戦略的パートナー」1周年…「参戦は国際主義的義理」
North Korea marks first anniversary of ”comprehensive strategic partnership” with Russia... ”Participation is an international obligation”
As North Korea approaches the first anniversary of its "comprehensive strategic partnership" with Russia, it has described its troops' participation on the Russian front as an "internationalist obligation."
On the second page of the Rodong Sinmun newspaper on the 19th, an article was published titled, “The invincible power of the North Korea-Russia alliance will be demonstrated even more powerfully,” reporting on the North Korean military’s raid on the Kursk island.
The paper said, "The operation to liberate the Korean peninsula is the most exemplary implementation of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership."
"The outstanding sons of the Korean people obeyed the orders of the Head of State, considered Russian territory as their own, treated the Russian people as brothers and demonstrated unparalleled bravery and spirit of sacrifice on the fierce battlefields," he said.
"The complete liberation of the Kursk region, which was achieved through joint military operations by the two countries (North Korea and Russia), has strengthened the North Korea-Russia alliance as a strategic fortress that safeguards justice and peace," the report said.
"This demonstrates the invincible and invincible nature of the two Koreas, the spirit of true unity and cooperation, and true international obligations," the paper said. It also said that North Korea-Russia relations "will ease the regional situation and contribute to global strategic stability."
He called it a "powerful security mechanism that guarantees peace and prosperity," and emphasized that it is "a powerful driving force for establishing a new, fair and multipolar international order and opening up a bright future for humanity."
"To further deepen our militant friendship and realize our common prosperity and welfare means to put an end to imperialist hegemony, intimidation and threats, and to promote peace, stability, and prosperity," he said.
"This is a firm position of the two peoples, forged in the struggle to protect our interests," he said, making clear his intention to continue maintaining close ties between North Korea and Russia.
In addition, after the treaty was signed, the United States will continue to send troops to Russia and other areas.
He also emphasized that solidarity and cooperation between the two countries is growing and is becoming closer. The Rodong Sinmun reported that high-ranking delegations are visiting each other frequently, and that exchanges are continuing in the fields of health and the arts.
He also claimed that the construction of a motor vehicle bridge on the North Korean-Russian border, which began in April, was part of cooperation between the two countries.
During his visit, he met with Chairman Kim Jong Un and signed the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between North Korea and Russia. Article 4 of the treaty provides for "immediate mutual military assistance in the event of armed invasion."
It is considered a military alliance-level treaty.
