Actor Jin Tae Hyun has successfully undergone surgery for thyroid cancer.

On the 24th, Jin Tae Hyun posted on his social media account, “Right now, I feel truly at peace. My wife held my hands tightly and prayed for me early this morning.”

　He continued, “On June 24th, 2025, around 11 a.m., the surgery was successfully completed. After the surgery, Professor Kim Bom-woo came directly to the recovery room and held my hand, telling me not to worry anymore.” He added, “Everyone has been worried about me, and the cancer cells in my body have disappeared. I am grateful. I will not forget your support and prayers.”

　Prior to this, Jin Tae Hyun had revealed on social media that he had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and was scheduled for surgery. He then shared an update on his condition after the surgery.

Jin Tae Hyun said, “Looking back on the past few months of my life, during which I lived with the word ‘cancer,’ whether it was big or small, deep or metastatic, I feel that it was a time of great gratitude, as it gave me a chance to learn a little more about how I should live my life from now on.” He added, “Although the cancer was curable with surgery, I am grateful for how I was able to spend my time in this situation. I would like to assure all cancer patients across the country that I will continue to pray for you and share various experiences with you.”

　He continued, "Before the surgery, there were many people who supported me, but I especially want to thank actor Kim Woo-bin, who had never worked with me before, from the ‘Divorce Consideration Camp’ team. Woo-bin, even though we had never worked together before, took the initiative to encourage me as a senior to overcome the illness, and I am deeply grateful for that. “Although I am ashamed that the surgery will be successful, I will deeply cherish the shared concern and strive to become a good senior in the entertainment industry,” he added.

Jin Tae Hyun stated, “Everyone, I will continue to drift through life.” He continued, "I have no intention of wasting my life by being trapped in the past.
