”It's not July 5th”... Cartoonist who predicted a ”major earthquake” in Japan explains the reason = Korean media
A manga artist who predicted that a major disaster would occur in Japan this July has explained the true meaning of his prediction. On the 24th, according to Japan's Sankei Shimbun, Ryo Tatsuki, the creator of the prophetic manga "The Future I Saw,"
On the 15th of this month, he published an autobiographical essay titled "The Testament of an Angel," in which he denied predicting a specific date such as "July 5, 2025," saying, "The day I had the dream is not the day something will happen."
He said, "It seems that the editorial department rushed through the work based on past examples, and the article was written in a confused state," suggesting that the date specification was reflected in the editing process.
Tatsuki Ryo attracted attention for predicting the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the COVID-19 virus pandemic in his 1999 manga "The Future I Saw."
The complete version, released in 2021, states that "the disaster will occur in July 2025," and that "the ocean floor between Japan and the Philippines will erupt, causing a flood of the Pacific Ocean, bringing the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake to countries around the country.
"A tsunami three times higher will surge in," the message continued. Then, "If the day you had the dream is the day it becomes reality, the next big disaster will occur on July 5, 2025," the message continued, specifying the date.
The book has sold over one million copies and has also been translated into Chinese. A famous feng shui master in Hong Kong also predicted a major earthquake in Japan, lending credibility to the prediction of a major disaster in July 2025.
However, in a written response sent after declining an interview request from Sankei Shimbun, the author said, "The fact that everyone is showing such a high level of interest is evidence of a growing awareness of disaster prevention, and I take it in a positive way.
"I hope this interest will lead to safety measures and preparations," he said. He added, "I myself am particularly careful when I go out, and I am careful to stock up on supplies in case of a disaster."
However, the author still maintains that "July 2025" will be a major turning point. Meanwhile, Ryuichi Nomura, director general of the Japan Meteorological Agency, said at a regular press conference on the 13th, "Based on current scientific knowledge,
"It is impossible to predict the exact date, time, location, or scale of an earthquake," he said, urging caution, saying, "Such prediction information is likely fraud." He added, "Earthquakes can occur anywhere, anytime in Japan.
"There is an 80% chance of a major earthquake occurring in the Nankai Trough within the next 30 years, so please take this opportunity to check your daily earthquake countermeasures," he said.
"There is a possibility of a super-large earthquake of magnitude 8 to 9," it warned. According to this scenario, the maximum death toll could reach 298,000, and the number of affected people could reach 12.3 million.
In addition, it is estimated that 2.35 million buildings will collapse and 900,000 people will be injured.
