<Women's Golf> Park Hae-jun wins for the first time in her fourth year on the tour at the Lotte Open

Park Hae-jun (22), in her fourth year on the tour, experienced the thrill of her first victory in her 73rd KLPGA (Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association) tour match.

At the 15th Lotte Open (total prize money 1.2 billion won/approximately 127 million yen) held at the KLPGA Tour, she recorded a total of 17 under par with 1 bogey and 3 birdies.
Goo Hye-jun beat Noh Seung-hee (24) by one stroke to win his first championship trophy. Park Hye-jun, who was leading the exclusive by one stroke and entered the final round, had two bad shots on the fourth and fifth holes.
After scoring a half-dee, he continued to score pars in the second half. At one point, he had a five-stroke lead, but a bogey on the 16th hole put him two strokes behind. However, he made a birdie on the final 18th hole.
Park Hae-jun said, "It was a tough match, but I'm really happy to have won. My goal this year is to win the tournament."
"I had decided to win two tournaments, but I want to calmly take the rest of the season while waiting for the last one," he said. Park Hae Joon, who made his tour debut in 2022, is only 1 meter tall.
He attracted attention with his powerful swing that was unleashed from his large 77 cm frame, but he lost his seed in his first year and competed in the second division tour, but he plans to return to the regular tour in 2023.
He's back. He showed his potential by finishing in the top 10 five times, including two second-place finishes at the Doosan Construction We've Championship in April last year and the Jeju Samdasu Masters in August.
Park Hae Joon is also a "study abroad student" who studied golf in Australia when he was an elementary school student. With this victory, he will receive 216 million won (about 23 million yen) in prize money and a place in the Hawaii Tournament to be held in October.
She also qualified to play in the Lotte Championship on the LPGA Tour, which is scheduled to be held in the U.S. on the 2020 LPGA Tour. Park Hae-jun said, "I was so nervous on the first hole of the final round that I made a mistake on the tee shot.
"But I managed to save par, which boosted my confidence. The final birdie putt was on a distance I've practiced tens of thousands of times, so I was able to stay calm and make it."
