On the 12th, JYP Entertainment announced, “After thorough discussion, JYP America and Kaylee have mutually agreed to end VCHA's activities,” adding, “We sincerely support each other's future endeavors.”
VCHA debuted officially in January last year through the joint project “A2K” between JYP and Republic Records, a subsidiary label of Universal Music Group.
Kaylee, who was born and raised in the United States, holds dual citizenship in both South Korea and the United States. Born in 2009, Kaylee, the youngest member of the group, had been on hiatus since March last year due to health issues.
VCHA, which debuted as a six-member group, is currently active as a four-member group (Lexi, Kendall, Camilla, and Savannah). Prior to this, another member, KG, claimed to have experienced abuse, left the group, and filed a lawsuit against JYP last December.
