Rep. Kim Young Ji-in of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is said to be President Lee Jae-myung's closest aide, said to Professor Moss Tan of Liberty University in the United States, "You are spreading conspiracy theories without presenting any evidence.
"Professor Mos Tan is a problem, but former President Yoon Seok-yeol and others who are taking advantage of him are even more problematic," he said, strongly criticizing the government.
On the 17th, Rep. Kim said on MBC Radio's "Kim Jong-bae's Focus" that "Professor Moss Tan is a typical example of election fraud.
He is a commentator who makes statements as if the Republic of Korea was established through rigged elections and that the country has a system in place for rigged elections."
Kim also said, "President Lee was in a juvenile detention center and other nonsense.
In response, the host said, "Professor Moss Tan is a liar who has falsely stated that 'President Lee was once incarcerated in a juvenile detention facility.'"
In response to the question, Rep. Kim said, "Professor Moss Tan is an American citizen, so he is not in violation of the law.
Kim avoided making a clear statement, saying, "It is a matter for the judicial authorities to decide." Kim continued, "Former President Yoon tried to hide the declaration of emergency martial law and the crime of treason by taking advantage of Professor Moss Tan's theory of election fraud.
"It is not appropriate to engage in political maneuvering to suppress the president," he said, adding, "(Yoon) would feel better if he quickly abandoned such erroneous thinking and spent his time in Seoul Detention House."
Professor Moss Tan visited the Eunpyeong First Church in Jingwang-dong, Eunpyeong-gu at around 2 p.m. on the 17th and met with former Korean history lecturer Jeong Ha, who has opposed the impeachment of former President Yoon.
He held a meeting with Ngil and others and continued to assert that former President Yoon was being oppressed. He also repeatedly asserted that there was a "rigged election" and that "President Lee was incarcerated in a juvenile detention center."
Professor Moss Tan also said, "I have spoken about these things based on various evidence, but I will not disclose how I received the evidence. When I disclose confidential information,
"The basic principle is not to reveal the source in order to protect my personal affairs," he said. The Democratic Party's Eunpyeong Regional Committee and about 60 YouTubers gathered in front of the church to denounce Professor Moss Tan.
On the 15th, Professor Mos Tang held a rally in Seoul, shouting slogans such as "Arrest Professor Mos Tang" and "Get out of Korea."
Regarding the allegation that "President Lee Jae Myung was once imprisoned in a juvenile detention center," he said on "Kyu TV," "We have evidence, but since it is a confidential matter at the moment, it is right to keep it safe."
Regarding the theory of election fraud, he said, "God's timing for making a decision is different from human timing, but it is perfect. We must be patient until that time comes."
Professor Moss Tan said at a press conference held by the International Election Observation Group in Washington, DC last month, "President Lee was involved in a gang rape and murder case when he was a teenager.
He was involved and was incarcerated in a juvenile detention center," but he was charged and police are investigating the matter.
