The official teaser for the 21st Mise-en-Scène Short Film Festival has been released. The festival is a gateway for new directors and actors to become leaders in the Korean film industry, and is Korea's only genre-specific short film festival.
The Film Festival, which continues the achievements and spirit of the past 20 years and once again teases a dynamic encounter with young creators of the same generation, has released an official teaser along with the news that the festival will be held.
First, the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival released stills from the official teaser, directed by Uhm Tae-hwa and starring actors Kim Go-Eun and Koo Kyo-Hwan, and collected Hot Topics.
Director Uhm Tae-hwa, who has directed films such as "Hidden Time" and "Concrete Utopia," said, "It's a sparkling story like a melodrama TV series about a couple who meet again after four years."
The teaser video impressively depicts the reunion of a couple. A man (played by Koo Kyo Hwan) suddenly visits the workshop of a woman (played by Kim Go Eun).
The two, who have not seen each other for a long time, represent the relationship between the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival and its audience, and the complex and delicate emotions that they now face after not seeing each other for a long time.
The story is visually conveyed in a short time. In particular, the eye acting of Kim Go-Eun and Koo Kyo-Hwan conveys deep emotions. The story not seen in the teaser will be revealed on Naver TV in August.
The 21st Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival will open on October 16th and run for five days until the 20th.
