GS25 releases Yoshihiro Akiyama brand highballs in two flavors: plum and yuzu (Korea)

GS Retail, which operates the convenience store "GS25," has released two types of highballs (Yuzu and Ume) named after fighter Yoshihiro Akiyama: "Aki Sparkling Highball."
Aki Sparkling Highball is a flagship product of the liquor brand "Aki," in which Akiyama was directly involved in all processes, from product planning to recipe development, tasting, and label design.
This highball is made from rice saccharified liquid and is characterized by its strong carbonation and fruity flavor, which makes it feel like champagne.
It comes in two flavors: yuzu and plum. The alcohol content is kept to 4%.
The price is 5,000 won (about 534 yen) per bottle, or 12,000 won (about 1,280 yen) for three bottles.
GS Retail is also taking pre-orders for the Junmai Daiginjo sake "Aki Sake" through the app along with the release of this product.
The first round of pre-orders sold out all 1,000 units available, and a second round of pre-orders is currently underway, running until the 15th.
In GS25, sales of highball category products will increase by 376.7% in 2024 and 376.7% in 2025.
Both grew by 81% in the January-June period of 2013. The company stated, "Highballs have grown significantly in the alcoholic beverage market recently."
