[Official Interview] ONLEE, interviewed ahead of his first live performance in Japan in about two months: ”We can show you a more fun stage with a rock-like atmosphere”

Korean solo artist ONLEE will be holding a live event "2025 ONLEE SUMMER LIVE IN" at FC LIVE TOKYO HALL in Tokyo in August.
It will be ONLEE's first visit to Japan in about two months since the Fan Meeting held in June, and he will be showcasing a different musical evolution from last time.
After the Fan Meeting in June, she released a new song, "Time goes by." She also participated in writing the lyrics and composing the song, which has a refreshing melody.

We spoke to ONLEE about the background to the creation of his new song, his thoughts on the upcoming live performance, and even about a place in Japan that caught his eye during his last visit.
Q. You participated in writing the lyrics and composing the new song "Time goes by" released in June. What were your thoughts when creating it?
It's been a while since I last released a song, and I released it after sorting out a lot of thoughts, so I was worried and hesitant during that time.
I put the words I want to convey not only to myself, but to the many fans who are in similar situations, into the lyrics and expressed them in the song!
Q. What was the most memorable reaction from fans to your new song after its release?
It was my first time to write both the lyrics and the music, so I was curious to see what kind of reaction I would get, but I received a lot of positive feedback from fans, such as "It's good" and "It was soothing."
The reaction from the fans was really great. I hope this song reaches more people and gives them encouragement! Q. This will be your first visit to Japan in about two months since the Fan Meeting in June.
How is this live event different from the last one? What can we look forward to? At the last live, you told your fans about the direction you want to go in the future.
As we've talked, I think we'll be able to show you a more fun stage this time with a song selection and atmosphere closer to rock music!
Q. Are there any messages or letters from fans recently that have particularly stuck with you?
Please tell us how you felt when you read it. My fans give me lots of letters, but the one that stands out in my memory is the one that says, "In my life,
It meant a lot to me, and it still does, so I'm grateful that you came back." I was also impressed by his words, "Let's move forward at our own pace!"
Q5. Please tell us if there was anything or place you found that you thought was great when you came to Japan last time. The new place that caught my attention in Japan is "school." Japan has a variety of clubs and activities.
I heard that the school has a lot of club activities, and I wanted to see the students actually participating in them! What kinds of club activities are there, and how do the students feel when they are involved in them?

At the last event, I told my fans about the musical direction I want to take.
I'd like to prepare a more fun rock stage for this summer's event and have fun with all my fans! I'll put aside my embarrassment for now on my stage.
