"He left behind many calligraphy and writings there and met with many people," he said. Meanwhile, lawyer Shin said, "Former President Yoon is now confined to a small cell measuring only about 7.6 square meters.
"There are no windows," he said, pointing out that "they eat on cardboard tables and are prohibited from meeting with members of the public," and added, "There is a huge difference between the life of An Yoshishi and that of his detainees."
He also argued, "Both Ahn and former President Yoon are political prisoners, but the democratic Lee Jae-myung administration was more lenient in dealing with these political prisoners than the barbaric, militaristic Japan of the past."
"There is a big difference in the severity of the treatment," he said. "The essence of the Lee administration's brutal treatment of former President Yoon is a dark and brutal treatment that even the former Empire of Japan did not do.
This clearly shows that this is political retaliation."
