Korea has released a pictorial taken with SHINee's Key, who is returning with his third full album, "HUNTER."
When asked why he chose now as the timing to release his first full album in three years, he said, "I thought it was time to give my fans something like a bouquet of flowers.
In this day and age, a full album is for the fans."
When asked why he chose the "horror" concept, he said, "For me right now, it's about
Bam is a battle to find what's left inside of me, whether it's popular culture or minor art, because it's getting harder and harder to find something that triggers me.
Recently, the genre that played that role was the horror genre. Looking back, I think I was into zombie movies and movies like "Final Destination" that were somewhere between A-grade and B-grade.
I was diligently watching horror movies. My ultimate goal was to create a scene that was free of cruelty and had a nasty cleavage. From Neapolitan Ghost Stories to Jang Sang Beom, I was able to find ideas.
As an artist known for being directly involved in everything from concepts to styling and promotions, he had a lot of special projects for this album.
When asked what he struggled with, he said, "With 'Gasoline,' the point was to shoot the album with a videotape design, but this time it's UV light.
I once saw a menu board in a bar that revealed hidden dishes when lit with UV light. I thought it was so interesting that I decided to include it in my album.
I definitely want to use it. If you shine a UV light on the eye shape on the album box, you can see something. In the concept that was released, there was something on the clothes that you can't see unless you shine a UV light on them.
"I even have costumes with letters written on them," he said. Now that you've been in a variety of genres for 17 years, from variety shows to TV series and musicals, how would you define yourself in one word?
In response to the question, "I'm a celebrity. I started my career in music, but if there's an opportunity to project myself in front of the public in a field I like, whether it's variety shows, TV series, or magazines, I should take advantage of it."
I always work with the thought that I could lose everything I have tomorrow.
So even if it's a one-time encounter or just work, it will be a good experience and a good memory.
"I live my life thinking that if there is a chance, I'll jump in," he replied. Meanwhile, the photo and interview with SHINee's Key were published in Harper's BAZAAR
It can be seen in the September issue of "Korea."
