GOT7's Yugyeom to enlist in the Army Band on September 29th... ”I'm going with full enthusiasm”

GOT7's Yugyeom will begin his military service in September.

On the 23rd, AOMG announced on its official social media account, "Yugyeom recently received final approval from the Military Manpower Administration to serve as a 'specialized soldier. As a result, Yugyeom will report for duty on September 29th, undergo basic military training, and then fulfill his military service obligations in the Army Band."

Yugyeom posted a handwritten letter on his social media account, directly addressing the Agase (the official fan club name for GOT7). In the letter, Yugyeom shared his feelings about enlisting, saying, “I will take care of my health and enter the military with vigor, doing my best for our country.” He also promised, “If you miss me, listen to my songs and think of me fondly. I will return soon with a wonderful album, having grown and developed further.”

As the youngest member of the global boy group GOT7 and a solo artist under AOMG, Yugyeom has been steadily pursuing his music and performance activities. He successfully concluded his world tour “TRUSTY,” solidifying his position as a global solo artist, and released his second solo full-length album “Interlunar” in June.

Ahead of his military enlistment, Yugyeom shared a message with global music fans, comparing the upcoming hiatus to “Interlunar” and expressing that he is not afraid or sad because he knows that he and his loved ones will meet again, even if they cannot see each other for now.

Additionally, earlier this year, he released the complete album 'WINTER HEPTAGON' with GOT7 and held large-scale solo concerts in Korea and Thailand.
Following his honest and healthy military service, anticipation is high for the next phase of growth and development that Yugyeom will showcase.
