ロウン&シン・イェウン「濁流」、ディズニー+で9月26日公開
Ro Woon & Shin Ye Eun's ”Muddy Stream” will be released on Disney+ on September 26th
The new series "Muddy Current" will be reaching viewers around the world on September 26th. Disney+'s first original historical drama series "Muddy Current" will be released on the 25th, prior to its release, with a teaser poster and teaser.
The teaser version was released. "Muddy Stream" is about a group of people who try to overturn the muddy world around Gyeonggang (the area around the Han River today), where all the money and goods of Joseon are gathered, and who try to live like human beings by changing their ways.
It is an action TV series about people who have dreams and want to open up their own destinies. "Muddy Current" is directed by Joo Chang-min, who attracted tens of millions of viewers with "The Man Who Became King" in 2012, and is the latest addition to the TV series "Chuno."
The script is written by Jung Sung Il, who will be presenting his first period drama series in 14 years, and the work has been generating much anticipation even before its release.
Actors Ro Woon, In Ye Eun, Park So Ham, and Park Ji Hwan boldly joined in.
However, his delicate acting enriches the drama. "Muddy Stream" was also selected as an official invitational film for the "On Screen" section of the 30th Busan International Film Festival, and is considered one of the most anticipated series of the year.
The teaser poster, which was unveiled along with the news of the release, depicts the rough flow of the Gyeonggi River. At the same time, it shows the corruption of those in power who have shrouded the clear Gyeonggi River in darkness.
The image of three young people making up their minds against a backdrop of food scattered around draws the eye. The phrase "It's your fault. Because you were born into a chaotic world" is also a good example of the interpersonal relationship.
The film arouses curiosity by suggesting how young people born in different eras will forge ahead with the destiny that lies before them.
The logo for this poster is the name of Cho, a representative Korean folk singer and singer-songwriter.
It is surprising to learn that it was written by Ng Tae-choon. Expectations are high as to how the unpredictable story unfolds, just like the roughly written calligraphy of "Muddy Current."
The teaser version that has been released is sure to pique viewers' curiosity as it tells the story of three young people who each pursue their own justice in a chaotic Joseon world that has been miserably ruined by those in power.
First, the sight of Si-yul (Ro Woon) uttering meaningful words, "Living is a truly tragic dream. I will make you pay the price," arouses curiosity. Then, the silence of the Gyeonggang River is cut short.
Along with the giant shadow invading Joseon, the urgent voice of Jeongjeon (Park So-ham) saying, "Joseon is a tilted land," and "Everywhere is rotten and there is no place that doesn't stink," heightens the tension.
Next, Chae-eun (Shin Ye-eun) resolutely shouts, "This is outrageous!" at the absurd world, but someone stomps on her, saying, "There is nothing outrageous about those in power."
The image of three young people who stand up to the enemy and firmly resolve to "fight. In this world we're tired of, even death is a blessing" resonates powerfully.
"Muddy Stream" consists of nine episodes, with episode 3 being released on September 26th, with two episodes being released every week.
