President Lee Jae-myung's ”Drop in Approval Rating” Stops = South Korea

The results of a public opinion poll announced on the 25th showed that South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has stopped declining.
The South Korean polling agency "Realmeter" conducted a survey of 18-year-olds and over from the 18th to the 22nd of this month.
According to a regular survey conducted in the third week of August among 2,512 voters, President Lee's approval rating was 51.4%, while his disapproval rating was 44.9%.
President Lee's approval rating hit 63.3% in the fifth week of July, but fell to 56.5% in the first week of August.
In the second week of the month, it further dropped to 51.1%. Regarding the results of this survey, Realmeter said, "President Lee's approval rating has leveled off after two consecutive weeks of decline."
The approval rating remained flat because the factors for approval and disapproval offset each other." He continued, "Positive factors include his activities in the fields of diplomacy and security, such as preparations for his visit to Japan and the United States, and
"There were announcements of economic policies such as an increase in the R&D budget," he said. "However, there were political battles over the special prosecutors' office, headwinds from the August 15 special pardon, uncertainty about tax reform, and the impact of industrial disputes.
Meanwhile, Realmeter conducted a party approval rating survey of 1,004 voters aged 18 and over on the 21st and 22nd of this month, and the ruling Communist Party
The Democratic Party recorded 45.8% and the main opposition People's Power Party recorded 35.5%. The ruling party increased by 5.9 percentage points from the previous survey, while the People's Power Party's support fell by 1.2 percentage points.
