Actor Jin Tae-hyun successfully completed a running race 76 days after his thyroid cancer surgery.

On the 7th, Jin Tae-hyun posted several photos on his Instagram with the caption, "I went to a running race with my wife today."

In the photos, Jin Tae-hyun is participating with his wife, actress Park Si-eun, who also certified his record. Jin Tae-hyun's half marathon time was 1 hour 53 minutes 32 seconds.

Jin Tae-hyun said, "I was 20 minutes slower than my personal record, but it was the best race of my life."

Jin Tae-hyun wore a band over the surgery scar on his neck and wrote "I can do it" on it.

Jin Tae-hyun said, "June 24th, the 76th day since my thyroid cancer surgery. I ran hard to promise myself that I would never give up on my dreams."

He added, "I have to protect my beloved wife for about 50 years, so I wanted to show her I'm a healthy husband."

Jin Tae-hyun revealed that he was battling thyroid cancer in May, underwent surgery in June, and is currently focusing on recovery.
