Disney+'s first original period drama series, "Muddy Current," has released a character poster and video. The poster features six characters with a strong aura, garnering attention.
Jang Si-yul (Ro Woon) confronts the turbid world with the phrase, "Who should we trust in order to live?", while the author states with a firm resolve, "Joseon is narrow and difficult."
Choi Woong (Shin Ye Eun) holds a torch with a glare in his eyes, and Jeong Cheon (Park So Ham) grabs a sword and says, "There's no place that doesn't smell like rot."
Each of the characters showed their own unique character colors, including Moo-deok (Park Ji-hwan), who creates tension with his cruel jokes, Lee Dol-ga-gu (Choi Ki-hwa), a corrupt government official, and Kyung-young.
The addition of Wang Hye (Kim Dong Woo), who shakes up the Gyeonggang River, heightens the tension. "Muddy Stream" is set against the backdrop of the Gyeonggang River, where all the money and goods of Joseon are gathered, and depicts the upheaval of the murky world and the transformation of people.
It is an action TV series that depicts the fate of people who dream of living a good life. Director Joo Changmin, who attracted tens of millions of viewers with "The Man Who Became King," will be directing the series.
The film is written by Jung Sung Il, who returns to historical dramas for the first time in 14 years since "The Last Journey." The film stars Ro Woon, Shin Ye Eun, Park So Ham, and Park Ji Hwan, and was nominated for Best Picture at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.
It has been selected as an official invitational work for the "Screen" section and has been attracting attention even before its release. Disney+'s first original period drama series, "Mudured Currents," will be broadcast every week starting with episodes 1-3 on September 26th.
They will be released one at a time, for a total of nine episodes.
