Q. I heard that this is your first feature-length Korean film. What made you decide to shoot a feature-length film for theatrical release at this time?
The first and biggest reason why I decided to make this work was the timing. In other words, during the COVID-19 pandemic, for me personally,

I decided to make it into a film at that time, and began preparations, which took me three years to complete. Q. What were the good and difficult points that differed from filming a TV series?
I think working on this film was better than working on a TV series because I felt I could actively express what I wanted to shoot.
When it comes to TV series, there are many series with large budgets and many broadcasts, so there are many compromises that have to be made.
I think that there is an advantage in that I can reflect my preferences and what I want to shoot from the planning stage, and also shoot an auteur-oriented work. Of course, this is not a commercial film, but a low-budget

I think of music as a friend who is there for you. We are always moved by music. And the act of listening to music is like moving your body and going somewhere far away.
You can listen to it close by without going to a music store. In this way, I think music is one of the functions that contribute to daily happiness. So, I'm happy and glad that music exists.
I was just thinking about this when I reread the original novel and decided that I wanted to incorporate a lot of music into the film.
And for the audience, the music is played on a big screen and through speakers.
I made it with the hope that people would immerse themselves in the story and appreciate the music that plays in the film. I also wanted to make a film where music is an advantage.
So, classical music was extremely important in this film. Q. Is there a scene that you are particularly fond of?
Before filming, we rebuilt the entire house that appears in the film, and we decided to replace all the windows with glass.
I also paid particular attention to the tent, because I thought that the curtains opening little by little on the large window could be likened to the male protagonist opening his heart little by little in that way.
And I wanted to show his back standing in the window with the curtains and the window, so I decided to renovate the whole house.
Jun-woo visits Yeong-hee, played by Kim Ji-yeong, and when they comfort her, they embrace each other, and I think you can see a little bit of love between the two of them there.
I think so. But when we were shooting, we just focused on them staring at each other. That scene actually took quite a long time to shoot, but we left it at that length during editing.
I think the original novel had a scene where the two people who love each other kissed, but I think this is enough, and I think the audience will be able to feel the feelings of the two people.
I thought I would get it. That scene wasn't an obvious expression, but it was a very impressive scene that expressed the love between the two of them, so I liked it.
Q. Who would you like to see this film directed at? The main character is middle-aged, and as mentioned in the film, he is someone who has just passed the hot summer of his life and is now in the season.
If you are in your middle age and feeling tired of life or have emotional scars, I hope you will relax and enjoy this film, and find healing.
I hope that it will be a source of healing for the viewers. Another thing is that, as it appears in the play, I think that everyone has someone they miss who they want to see but can't. For example,
