The film ‘Boss’ topped the overall box office charts in its opening weekend.

Released on the 3rd, the film ‘Boss’ drew a cumulative audience of 671,946 in its opening week, securing the number one spot at the box office for three consecutive days.

Not only did ‘Boss’ maintain the top spot in overall advance ticket sales throughout the pre-release period, but it also drew 238,895 viewers on its opening day, setting a new record for the highest opening score by a Korean film released in October since the pandemic.

At the stage greeting held on the 5th, a surprise event unfolded for audiences visiting theatres during the Chuseok (Mid-Autumn Festival) holiday. Director Ra Hee-chan, alongside actors Jo Woo-jin, Jung Kyung-ho, Park Ji-hwan, Lee Kyu-hyun, and Jung Yoo-jin, participated in the event, sharing warm Chuseok greetings with the audience and creating a special moment.

Notably, they took to the stage wearing hanbok by Park Sul-nyeo, a renowned master of traditional Korean dress, instantly capturing the audience's attention. Designer Park Sul-nyeo stated, "I wanted to share the beauty of the traditional Daepo (a formal robe worn by men during the Joseon Dynasty), and I'm delighted to convey that sentiment through 'The Boss', released during Chuseok. It holds even greater meaning for me to be able to do this alongside actors I have always admired."

Opening at number one at the box office on its first weekend, 'Boss' has started with a green light for its box office prospects and is currently showing to rave reviews in cinemas nationwide.
